Bolt Vault Privacy Policy
Last updated: November 7, 2026
Bolt Vault ("the game", "we") is a puzzle game for Android published by Fashola Daniel. This policy explains what information the game handles, why, and the choices you have. Questions? Email fasholajr@gmail.com.
1. Playing without an account
You can play the whole game without creating an account. In that case your level, coins, undos, hints, daily streak and sound setting are stored only on your phone. We do not receive them. Uninstalling the game removes them.
2. If you create an account
An account is optional. It lets you save progress online and appear on leaderboards. When you create one, we handle:
- Email address and password. Your password is stored only as a secure hash by our authentication provider (Appwrite); we cannot read it. We use your email to let you log in and to send password-reset codes.
- Username. You choose it. It is shown publicly on leaderboards, so do not use your real name or anything private.
- Game progress: your level, coins, undos, hints and daily streak, so they follow you to a new phone.
- Daily scores: your number of pulls and completion time for each daily puzzle you submit. To check that a score is genuine, the game sends the list of moves for that run to our server, which replays it. The moves are used for that check and are not stored.
3. Ads
The game shows optional rewarded video ads through Google AdMob. When an ad is requested, Google may collect information such as your device's advertising ID, IP address, approximate location derived from the IP address, device and app information, and how you interact with the ad. The game asks for non-personalized ads. See Google's Privacy Policy and how Google uses data from apps that use its services. You can reset or delete your advertising ID in your Android settings.
4. Service providers
We use Appwrite to provide accounts, saved progress and leaderboards, and Google AdMob to show ads. These providers process data on our behalf or under their own terms. We do not sell your personal information. We do not use analytics or advertising trackers of our own.
5. What others can see
Other players can see your username, your levels cleared, and your daily scores on the leaderboards. They cannot see your email address.
6. Sharing results
The "Share" buttons open your phone's normal share sheet so you can send a result message to friends. The game does not see who you share with.
7. How long we keep data
Account data is kept until you delete your account. You can delete it at any time inside the game (Home, then tap your username, then Delete account) or by following the steps on our delete your account page. Deleting your account removes your email, username, saved progress and leaderboard scores.
8. Security
Data is sent over encrypted connections. Leaderboard and score writes are checked on the server. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a password you do not use elsewhere.
9. Children
Bolt Vault is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you are under the age at which you can consent to data processing in your country, please do not create an account. If you believe a child has created an account, email us and we will delete it.
10. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 or the GDPR), you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Email fasholajr@gmail.com and we will respond within a reasonable time.
11. Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date above, and for significant changes we will tell players in the game.
